About Us
Nov, 9 2024Welcome to Bristol Community Connect
At Bristol Community Connect, we believe that strong communities are built through connection, compassion, and collective action. This website is your trusted hub for discovering the vibrant network of social organisations, charities, and local initiatives that make Bristol a better place to live.
What We Do
Our mission is simple: to bridge the gap between those who need support and those who want to give it. We curate and share information about community services, volunteer opportunities, charity events, and grassroots projects across Bristol — helping residents find meaningful ways to engage, give back, and thrive together.
Topics We Cover
We focus on the heart of community life: social welfare, mental health support, food banks, youth programmes, senior care, environmental projects, housing assistance, and local volunteering opportunities. Whether you’re looking for help, wanting to donate, or seeking to lend your time, we highlight the organisations making a real difference right on your doorstep.
About the Creator
I’m Evangeline Rivers, the founder of Bristol Community Connect. After years of working with local nonprofits and witnessing firsthand how fragmented information can prevent people from accessing vital support, I created this platform to bring clarity and connection to Bristol’s community landscape. My passion is ensuring no one feels isolated or unaware of the help available — or the power they have to help others.
Why This Website Exists
This site was born from a simple question: Why should finding a food bank or a volunteer opportunity feel so hard? Too many people in Bristol are unaware of the resources right around them, while organisations struggle to reach those who need them most. Bristol Community Connect exists to change that — turning confusion into clarity, and isolation into inclusion.
Our Values and Approach
We believe in transparency, accuracy, and empathy. Every listing is carefully researched and updated regularly. We don’t accept paid promotions — our goal is to serve the community, not sell to it. We listen to feedback, prioritise underrepresented voices, and celebrate the quiet heroes working behind the scenes to make Bristol stronger.
Contact Us
We’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re a community organisation wanting to be featured, a resident seeking help, or just someone who wants to share an idea, please reach out. You can email me directly at [email protected] or write to us at 63 Cafe Street, Penicuik EH26 8HQ, United Kingdom.
Together, we can build a more connected, caring Bristol.
